Zion Park District Parks
Zion Park District was founded in 1946. The Illinois Legislature has
given Zion Park District the particular responsibility of providing and
maintaining open space, and of offering recreational facilities and
programs for your enjoyment and use. Approximately eight percent
of your tax bill represents the park district portion.
Whether it’s by offering wholesome programs, activities and special
events, by providing enjoyable facilities or by preserving the aesthetic
beauty of our community, the sole purpose of Zion Park District
is the enrichment of lives.
